Creative Thesis

 A Creative Thesis This should be a developed piece of creative writing that has undergone an extensive revision process. For example, appropriate projects include, a collection of poems, a story or set of short stories, a chapter of a novel, a screenplay, or a piece of creative non-fiction. A prose project should total 20-25 pages. Longer pieces may be submitted upon approval of the advisor, but in this case less is more. A poetic project can be a series of linked poems, a long poem, or a group of poems that comprise a chapbook. They should total from 15-20 pages. The project should also: • be professionally presented, i.e., word-processed and bound, demonstrating a pride in the work. Guidelines for Submission of Thesis

Guidelines for Senior Thesis/English 422 printing, binding and emailing • All 422 students should submit at least 2 drafts during the course of the semester to their advisor for feedback.  • Students will submit a final copy (a week before the final day of class) for grading. The Advisor will give back the graded copy with comments for the students to revise. With the final approval of the student’s Thesis Advisor, the student should print a clean copy of the thesis for binding. • The student should also email a PDF copy of the thesis to the Thesis Advisor. • The student should include a cover sheet, an Acknowledgment page, a Table of Contents (if needed), the Abstract and the final paper (which should range from 25-30 pages and include a bibliography and a list of illustrations, if any are included in the text).  MLA or APA format must be used throughout.  • The Cover Sheet should have the following (centered) Title of Thesis Student’s full name Date of Submiss...
